Nouri Praises PA Supreme Court Ruling That States the PA Constitution Provides a Fundamental Right to Abortion Access

Blasts Kelly’s Support for Abortion Ban With No Exceptions for Rape & Incest

Erie, PA – Democratic Congressional candidate Preston Nouri released the following statement praising the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s ruling that says the Pennsylvania Constitution provides a fundamental right to abortion access. In its decision, the court said, “the right to reproductive autonomy, like other privacy rights, is fundamental.”

“I applaud the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s decision, which affirms that every woman has their freedoms and rights protected by our constitution. If elected to Congress, I will stand up for every woman's right to make their own health care decisions.

Unfortunately, Mike Kelly is working hard to take these rights away by sponsoring legislation to ban abortion nationally, with no exceptions for rape or incest. Kelly’s position has endangered women across this country. We need a Congressman who will protect our individual rights and freedoms instead of taking a position that’s against the will of the people.”
